100 Ideas: Snowball questioning

Snowball questioning

This is idea No. 7 in the book!

Book extract:

One way to develop stronger answers is to employ the snowball questioning technique. Snowballs start rolling down the hill as small balls but quickly build in size before they break apart again. In class you want the same; build up an answer with your students before learners break them apart and use them in their own work.

A downloadable resource is available here to help you deliver this activity in your classroom.
