1 quick way to start a lesson with a challenge

An easy to deliver challenge for the start of any lesson. All you need are two different coloured sticky notes and a ppt slide.

As students enter your room hand them a sticky note and have the following slide on your board.

The challenge is for students to devise their own challenging questions covering a recent topic. The criteria is dependant upon the colour sticky note you gave them.

In this example:

If you have a yellow sticky note then you must devise two questions which make use of the word ‘describe’.

Once students have created these ask them to swap them with each other to challenge their peers.

Try it, adapt it, challenge with it!
