2nd Week as HoD
Data, data. data – week 2 as HoD
I’ve always had a ‘beef’ with data, and I’ve learned why; it’s because in my early teaching career data we thrust towards me in no understandable format.
It was simply handed over or shown with the expectation that I would understand it fully and use it, but with no effort make to refine it before I was shown it.
I’ve since learned that to make data work for a school it’s the responsibility of those expecting it to be used successfully to make sure it is transmitted in formats that make sense and can be easily and effectively utilised by people. – I mean lets face it, we do that for kids every day because it’s logical!!
