TeachMeet – Sharing best practice
I think CPD needs an overhaul.
It takes some really special CPD these days to remove the look of boredom from teachers faces as they sit in their school hall at the start of a term. Sad but true!
Staff are always using the same words when they talk about the CPD they want;
- Quick
- Simple
- Effective
- Easy to apply
- Purposeful
It feels like little CPD actually gives you all that!
TeachMeet: Simple and Effecive
It’s the very aim of a TeachMeet event to be simple and effective! Bitesize ideas, effective, simple solutions to the daily challenges teachers face!

A relaxed environment in which to share ideas that make us all better teachers.
In September a colleague and I took over a local pub function room and between the two of us began to transform it into an interesting space in which to share ideas.
This was the room filled with 80+ educators, the only thing you can’t see in the photo is the energy in the room!
We’ve organised and facilitated more events since then which required no advertising as within two weeks of our tickets being available all 80 get snapped up by enthusiastic educators who come and shared ideas! – There’s a demand out there amongst teacher to give up their own time to become better practitioners!
It’s very rewarding to facilitate those opportunities!
